Those that know me, know that I am very passionate about capturing the time you are pregnant. Many mums feel very self-conscious and sometimes even embarrassed about how they look when pregnant. It certainly took me a good 7 months or so to get used to my new voluptuous looks. However once your baby is born you quickly forget about the way you looked and if you go on to have any other children its nice to being able to compare your baby bump.

I like to think that as a photographer I can make any women look great, pregnant or not and I hope that the pregnancy photos you can see in my gallery of normal women, will inspire you to choose me as your maternity photographer to capture this very important time in your life for you.

So when Giselle choose me to capture her maternity photos I was thrilled, not only because I love doing pregnancy photos shoots but also because it gave me an opportunity to try out my new maternity gowns. Giselle is wearing one in the images below. I thought this gown was a really good way to show off all your new curves and bump while not having to strip off all your clothes if you prefer not to. Follow this link to see the photos of Giselle’s newborn photoshoot.

In fact Giselle wasn’t too sure about bearing it all during the shoot so we started gently. Its great to see the dad really got involved too.

I shoot all my maternity photos in colour but give a few in b&w as an option in my gallery too. However I think you will agree that with the slight skin-smoother I apply in post productions, the colour photos look equally as stunning as the b&w ones.

can’t remember how my belly looked the first time around, it would have been nice to compare it to the others for fun. - See more at: http://www.bellybelly.com.au/pregnancy/pregnancy-photography-10-great-reasons-to-have-pregnancy-photography/

I find my boob tube, Giselle is wearing in the image on the left a very effective way to show off bump, without having to feel too naked. The second maternity dress I have available for anyone to borrow during their maternity photoshoot is worn by Giselle on the right. Another great dress to show off your curves without having to feel too naked.

And at the end Giselle did opt to go for a few more daring "Demi Moore" ones and this beautiful one. I have one of these of myself too displayed in the living room.

I find a maternity shoot also a great test run to see if you want to use the photographer for your new-born photos. To hand over your precious new-born baby, you do want to make sure you feel 100% comfortable with your photographer. Not only that, but since you probably end up spending 3 hours or so together for the newborn photo session it is nice to know what environment you will be in and what the studio is like. Giselle came back a couple fo weeks later with her newborn baby, follow this link to see the photos of Giselle’s newborn photoshoot.
